Hope of Bihar: Nitish Kumar

I am writing this article because I want to share my experiences from my recent trip to my home state. Though, the trip was small yet, it gave me insights of how people of Bihar now perceive their state should be. Not many people may be aware that before Laloo Prasad Yadav became a disease for the people of Bihar there was yet another person who almost ruined the state. Jagannath Mishra. Laloo Prasad just stepped into the waiting shoe and continued from where the former had left. The only difference was that during the Laloo’s rein, the media became more powerful and people of the state started realizing their mistakes. All hopes were shattered.

Entered: Nitish Kumar! Initially people were skeptical about him but the way his government has performed, people have changed their views. Everywhere developments can be seen. More and more roads are being built. Flyover at necessary points is being constructed. Performances at the primary schools have increased drastically with the appointment of new teachers and surprise checks to see if the teacher hasn’t bunked the classes. Police is trying its best to be more people friendly. Crime rates have been drastically reduced with many hardcore criminals behind the bar. All this was near impossible a few years back.

The one thing that is still awaited is electricity in the rural areas. The government has promised to work on it and there are works being carried out. Generally it takes few years to set up an electricity plant to generate electricity as the central government has to allocate coals for it. In the case of Bihar, the central government is yet to allocate coal blocks for plants that are coming up.

The overall atmosphere is pleasant. People are eagerly waiting for the things to improve more. It will take few more years to bring things back to track. Nitish Kumar is the hope. The general election is just at the door. This will decide the fate of his government as the people in Bihar are known to vote on the basis of their castes; developments come later. But, one shouldn’t be surprised if people vote for Nitish Kumar.

  1. We all Bihari should proud on our self to become a bihari because Bihar is moving on the path of development. My exprience is with my village, there were no proper road and no electricity from last 20 years. But now in government of Mr. Nitish Kumar work is in progress. Now in my village Light is glowing and road constructions is going on. The road I am talking about where we cannot ride a cycle, Where there is two lane highway building. I had recently visited my home town. I was completely surprised to see all this development work. Our village is moving on development track. All high school is become higher secondary, New teacher appointed even Computer classes is also going on. There was a very old college in my village where there is no any professor was there but now college is running with new professor appointed. Education environment has been changed. Student is regularly going to school and college. This government has completely changed the outlook of Bihar where we can proudly can say that I am bihari. Where from last 15 years of Lalu government has made a jungle raj of bihar. In his government people has forgotten the meaning of development and from other state of people has changed the meaning of abusing word bihari. Mr.Nitish Kumar is the only man of hope for bihar and bihari. I am appealing to all people from to maintain law and order to make an ideal state new bihar. This is not only responsibility of the government; it’s also our responsibility to help government to make better new bihar. The people of bihar is very happy to see all this changes and has stopped moving from the state. Everybody wants live their live in his home town. Now the business man is thinking to invest in new bihar. Nitish kumar has rock. There are so many works in the path of progress. Let’s keep this government continue to make mission of new Bihar. There are so many youngster who has lft there state wants move their home town for better scope. People of is every day and night see only one dream. The dream is development of bihar with VIKAS PURUS of NItish Kumar and one day the dream will come true. We have hope of all Bihari.

  4. I feel really proud that Nitish Kumar has done this tremendous job of laying the initial foundation of taking Bihar on road to become a developed state. It was totally impossible to even imagine this state of things few years back. But this is now a reality and I feel really proud when people call me bihari. I tell them that the day is not far when Bihar will be a happening state and people from other states would want to migrate to that state to work there. Now I can back this statement with the facts.. all thanks to Nitish Kumar's revolutionary work.. Nitish is doing the same thing for bihar as what Narendra Modi had done for Gujarat..I wish him all the best..
